The music and lyrics are written to express concern about the growing amount of control and registration. For a lot of people privacy has become less important than protection. People wake up! Protection against who or what? The society is not as rotten as people might think.
This is no happy tune or happy video but I found it important to make and to show that some people still remember George Orwell's 1984.
The Lyrics:
This is master control speaking to everybody who thinks he's free
even if you're innocent we won't let you be
take your identification when you go on to the street
we want to see your fingerprints if we meet
we will find out what you are drinking
we will find out what you are thinking
we know every move you make
we see every step you take
we know if you go by train or bus
the number of your bank account is known to us
this is to protect you and your family
just shut your eyes and pretend to be free
we will find out what you are drinking
we will find out what you are thinking
we know every move you make
we see every step you take
all your email will be stored of at least a year
when you call we will be listening, but have no fear
we won't do anything with your data all right?
unless of course, you have something to hide
we will find out what you are drinking
we will find out what you are thinking
we know every move you make
we see every step you take
maybe it feels like being a slave,
but at least you will be safe
maybe it feels like being a slave,
but at least you will be safe
