Firewire sound
Santa did come around at the studio this year and he brought a good second hand firewire sound card with him.
The Stanton Scratchamp was a second hand present but it still works like a charm. With 3 audio in and 3 audio out it's not only perfect for studio purposes. It also supports the use of timecode vinyl and hence the playing of .wav or .mp3 (the last one doesn't have a preference of course) files which can be controlled trough a vinyl or even a cd.
This was the last piece of hardware that was essential to the studio and I'm very happy with it. Let's make some music!
